By controlling the features of your scanner, e-scan makes scanning documents fast and easy. User-defined profiles provide the control of scanner settings, output destinations, and file formats.
After selecting the profile to be used, the documents to be scanned are placed in the scanner and the user selects the Scan button. The scanner will then begin to scan the documents. As the documents are scanned, e-scan displays each page for the user, and the number of pages scanned are also counted and displayed.
Because the pages to be scanned may be greater than the amount that the scanner can hold at one time, e-scan also allows you to continue scanning to the same 
profile by simply reselecting the Scan button. The remaining pages will be scanned and appended to the pages which have already been scanned, and the numbering sequence continues.
When the user selects the Done button, e-scan then processes the documents and transmits them in the selected file format to the destination folder for storage, or for further processing. e-scan also has the capability of using FTP protocol to transmit the documents to destinations, such as when scanning from satellite offices to a main office for documents storage.
e-scan also works with all major brands of scanners, and provides an easy to use interface.
Multiple profiles can be created in e-scan,which allows for unique settings and features to be enabled for each document type to be processed. Each profile can then send the output files to a specific storage location to facilitate document management solutions.
e-scan also provides access to the scanner settings of the scanner to give total control over the scanner device features, such as duplex scanning, source documents types, and resolution settings.
